The children will first take a look at some paintings in the museum galleries. Then they get to paint like artists in a real studio.
Children’s Workshops
Get creative with paint and brush! English spoken workshops are available on Saturday afternoon.
Theme: Skulls
From 1 September until 9 October 2026
Did you know that Vincent van Gogh also painted skulls? In this workshop, you’ll find out why!
First, we’ll take a look at his paintings together in the museum. Then, using paint, colours and bold brushstrokes, you’ll create your own unique skull on canvas. Will it be funny, cheerful, cool or a bit spooky? Go for it, let your imagination run wild!
Theme: Rabbits
From 19 October until 19 December 2026
Vincent van Gogh's painting of rabbits is quite special, as you don't often see it in the museum. But it's on display now, and it's so lovely! Two rabbits are frolicking in the sand beneath the bushes.
Once you've seen this painting, you'll probably want to try painting rabbits yourself. Get some inspiration from Vincent and paint your own version of rabbits in a landscape.
