Collaboration: The drawing of The Yellow House is now available as replica, as part of the Van Gogh Museum Edition Drawings collection. Because of its high quality, it is almost indistinguishable from the original.
This exhibition presents 27 drawings that Emile Bernard sent to Vincent van Gogh. The drawings were intended for Vincent’s eyes only, and are now being exhibited together for the first time. On view from 26 September 2024 until 12 January 2025.

As 2021 draws to a close, the Van Gogh Museum has received 366,359 visitors. During the past year, the museum was forced to close for a total of 24 weeks as a result of the measures introduced by the Dutch government to control the coronavirus pandemic.

The spontaneous character of the etching was seized on in the second half of the nineteenth century by critics, writers, and publishers to promote the etching as the most artistic and expressive printmaking technique.
Odilon Redon (1840-1916) was a pioneer of Symbolist printmaking. Between 1870 and 1890, he created a print series in which he evoked a mystical atmosphere using black ink. Later, after he found stability in family life, he did no longer used black ink, but created a few colour lithographs.
