The 'Meet Vincent van Gogh Experience' is the only official travelling Experience by the Van Gogh Museum. Now, visitors all around the world can explore how Vincent van Gogh became the influential, world-famous artist of today.

In 2019, the Meet Vincent van Gogh Experience had highly successful tour stops in Barcelona and Seoul. Following the Experience’s outstanding success in these two cultural capitals, Meet Vincent will also be on display in Lisbon and London soon.

Based on the museum’s world leading Van Gogh collection and extensive research into Van Gogh's life, experts of the Van Gogh Museum introduce an all-encompassing story of the man behind the art.

Experience Highlights

The Meet Vincent van Gogh Experience does not present Van Gogh’s original artworks, as they are too fragile to travel. Instead, Van Gogh’s inspiring life story has now been made accessible to visitors all around the world by the use of state-of-the-art audio-visual techniques.

The Experience for visitors

At the Meet Vincent van Gogh Experience, visitors embark on an unforgettable journey that takes them closer to Van Gogh than ever before:

• Listen to the story of Vincent’s life told in his own words. The Experience features two fully-automated audio-guides, developed especially in engaging adults and children versions.
• Learn to draw landscapes with a perspective frame.
• Investigate the details of Vincent’s paintings through a microscope.
• Pull up a seat at ‘The Potato Eaters’ table or see a dramatic shadow play in the Yellow House.
