The famous print series One Hundred Views of the Moon by the Japanese artist Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1839–1892) is on display at the Van Gogh Museum for the first time in this small-scale exhibition.

Japanese prints at the Van Gogh Museum
Vincent van Gogh collected hundreds of Japanese prints, including those by Yoshitoshi. This collection of prints is housed at the Van Gogh Museum. Van Gogh studied the prints closely and incorporated ideas from the Japanese style into his own art, such as large areas of simple colours and bold outlines.
