The court hearing scheduled for Friday 17 April 2026 regarding the dispute over the level of the housing subsidy has been postponed. The Van Gogh Museum and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (ECS) have made good progress in the mediation process proposed by the Dutch House of Representatives.
Although a number of details are yet to be agreed, both parties see sufficient grounds to continue talks in order to reach a definitive solution. In light of this, it has been decided to postpone the legal proceedings. Both parties aim to conclude the mediation before summer.
