Floral Street x Van Gogh Museum Sunflower Pop
Floral Street and the Van Gogh Museum presented 'Sunflower Pop' in the summer of 2021, a sustainable, fruity-citrus eau de parfum inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflowers.
Floral Street’s master perfumer, Jérôme Epinette has captured the vibrance and beauty of the South of France – where Van Gogh painted his world-famous Sunflowers (1889) – in a perfume created with sustainable ingredients.
Vincent van Gogh thought that his Sunflowers – part of the Van Gogh Museum collection – communicated gratitude and friendship.
Sunflower Pop brings the beauty and optimism of this masterpiece to life with natural fresh bergamot, warm vegan honey and an effervescent ‘pop’ from a fantasy bellini accord.
Sunflower Pop will be available in 10-, 50- and 100-millilitre bottles. The perfume will be on sale from 23 July in the Van Gogh Museum Shop in Amsterdam, and can also be pre-ordered via floralstreet.com.
Sunflower Pop will be available at selected global retailers from 1 August 2021.
Fine art meets fine fragrance in this ‘first of its kind’ collaboration between the independent, British brand Floral Street and the Van Gogh Museum. This four-year partnership gives an international audience the opportunity to discover how Van Gogh’s passion for nature has inspired sustainable scent creations.
‘I’m honoured that floral street has been chosen as the first fragrance partner of the Van Gogh Museum. Vincent van Gogh’s citation, “If one truly loves nature, one finds beauty everywhere” is what inspired me to create this sustainable scent that celebrates and respects the environment. Through this collaboration, we are able to tell our story in a new way, in which the beauty of art and fragrance meet.’
Michelle Feeney, founder, Floral Street.
In celebration of the masterworks of Vincent van Gogh, Floral Street will launch future sustainable perfume and scented home products.
‘Floral Street and the Van Gogh Museum found each other in their mission to inspire a diverse audience with an eye for future generations. Through our collaboration we have captured the bright, vibrant shades of gold and yellow of Van Gogh’s iconic Sunflowers in a unique and sustainable scent, creating a fresh and different way to experience the art of Van Gogh.’
