Tickets and visiting with an interpreter
Planning a visit to the museum? Book your tickets in advance, so you don't miss out. Deaf visitors and the hard of hearing are permitted to bring a sign language interpreter with them as a companion for free. The companion’s ticket includes a free multimedia guide. You can book the free companion’s ticket online.
The museum welcomes guide dogs fitted with a suitable harness. There is no need to register guide dogs prior to your visit. Dogs can be walked on Museumplein, which is located next to the museum.
Loop system in the auditorium
A loop system has been installed in the museum auditorium, where visitors can watch a film charting the life of Vincent van Gogh. The film is screened continuously, and every second screening is accompanied by Dutch Sign Language.
An edition of the multimedia guide with sign language is not yet available.
Guided tour in sign language
The Van Gogh Museum offers guided tours in (international) sign language. Reserve a private guided tour for a group of up to 12 visitors at your chosen time. A sign language guided tour costs € 80, excluding the price of admission to the museum.
Reservations are required at least two weeks in advance. Cancellations can be made without charge up to two weeks before the date of your visit. Should you cancel at a later date, you will be required to pay the full cost.
