For the Van Gogh Museum’s fortieth anniversary, we are inviting anyone who has ever visited the museum to share their memories.
Behind every memory, there is a unique story. What are your finest museum memories? What exhibition, work of art or event made the strongest impression on you? Do you happen to have photographs of the museum or the exhibition wing being built? Do you remember a special encounter or a fascinating conversation in front of a Van Gogh painting? Share your photographs, videos, and stories on our special website, and you could even win a prize!
How does it work?
On www.vangoghmuseum.com/memories, you can upload photographs, link to a YouTube video or submit a story. Then you can share your contribution on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or Pinterest. Every contribution can be ‘liked’, and of course, you can like other people’s contributions. The number of likes will be one factor in selecting the winner. Contributions will be accepted until 31 December 2013.
Each month, we will present one winning participant with the book Van Gogh at work: highlights.
