Canon will provide the museum with financial support for a period of three years.
The museum also increasingly uses innovative digital programmes and instruments to bring scientific and educational projects to the attention of a large audience. An innovative partner such as Canon Europe – one of the market leaders in the area of digital imaging, and with products such as photography and video equipment, scanners and All in Ones for consumers and professional photographers – can contribute useful knowledge and skills to support the museum in the further development of these activities.
Like the Van Gogh Museum, Canon has a strong international reputation and a long history. The company was established in 1937 and is active in more than 180 countries. The Van Gogh Museum has a large target group of foreign visitors, and has a clear focus in its presentations on other countries, such as Japan, the home country of Canon.
