The design for the Robert Graham x Van Gogh Museum Limited Edition silk bomber jacket features two iconic artworks by Vincent van Gogh. The front is inspired by Flowering Plum Orchard (after Hiroshige), and the back depicts Courtesan (after Eisen).
Prints of several of Vincent van Gogh’s letters, of which the museum has more than 800 in its collection, are used for the lining. Robert Graham also used Head of a Skeleton with a Burning Cigarette, incorporating the painting into a limited-edition shirt and a silk scarf.
‘The brand’s 20-year legacy, centered around fashion that is meant to be discussed, admired and collected, deeply ties us back to the world of art,’ says Andrew Berg, president, Robert Graham. ‘That is who we are as a brand. The ability to feature iconic artists such as Vincent van Gogh through these collaborations allows us to officially marry art and fashion and make it our own.’
