Exhibition in the Airport Library Schiphol
27 March 2012Until half August 2012, the Van Gogh Museum will be organising a small exhibition in collaboration with Airport Library Schiphol, showcasing some letter editions from the library collection.
The Airport Library Schiphol is a unique public library that focuses primarily on Dutch culture. It gives millions of travellers an opportunity to pick up an impression of the culture of the Netherlands, in which Vincent van Gogh plays such an important role. In collaboration with Airport Library Schiphol, the Van Gogh Museum will be organising a small exhibition until half August looking at the letters of Vincent van Gogh.
The original letters are seldom put on display because they are so sensitive to light. But the exhibition will include a selection of the different editions of the letters that have been published in different languages in recent years.
The Airport Library Schiphol can be found on Holland Boulevard, in the area behind passport control between the E and F piers.
